This review is for travelers because, apparently, the locals are well aware of this restaurant. Awesome Mediterranean style cuisine. Large servings with a varied menu. If you're not stuffed with your entrée, I duet the baklava!

Rose Garden Cafe in Elk Grove is a nice little diner - the inside is actually fairly large, and their menu is also pretty big. I've been coming to Ross Garden for years. They have your classic breakfast items like omelettes and then they have a whole lunch menu as well. Their soups are amazing especially their cream of chicken soup that might be my favorite item on their menu. Overall, I'd recommend a visit to the Rose Garden Cafe - it's pretty good.

I ordered the Italian on a croissant, and it tastes like Italian beef. I wish they had added some hot or sweet peppers for more flavor. Although the portion was excellent, the thinly sliced, tender beef tasted a little dry. A good au ju dipping sauce would have improved it. The chicken rice soup with cream was really tasty. The soup was thick and creamy, with a nice texture of rice that wasn't overly firm or mushy. However, the chicken meat was barely noticeable, and adding some color would have greatly improved the soup's appearance.

I was so bummed when I saw the old location get demolished and thought they were gone completely. I always wanted to dine in this staple of Elk Grove. BUT my friend said they just relocated. I was very happy to hear that they did and they didn't close for good. The food was delicious, my steak was cooked to perfection. The décor is so gorgeous. And service was super friendly. Can't wait to come back.

Ambiance - wow. beautifully painted and decorated- and very bright- we were entranced with this place. We walked in and were immediately greeted and taken to a booth for our breakfast. First thought- a real PLUS! Food- wow. Hub-hub got a 2x2x2 - but the pancakes were definitely underwhelming- meh. Not fluffy. Not different. Just meh. But the sausage and eggs were just fine- so hub-hubs breakfast was taken down a bit by a lackluster pancake performance. My food was definitely unique- a Gyro Omelet. Never have I Ever had a Gyro omelet- and WOW - was it ever delish! Unfortunately it was taken down a tad by the toast that was cold when delivered to the table. It seems like it was toasted then left to wait for the hash browns and omelet. That was a real demerit as I really enjoy fresh, warm/hot toast. Service- here's where it got a little funky.Once we got seated we were immediately approached for coffee and - of course- to review the menus. Once ordered, the food came in an appropriate timeframe- that's all to the good. BUT - our waitress disappeared and we had to flag down another one to request our check. Definitely wasn't a positive thing. If they were busy I'd get it- but I didn't think it was that busy when we were ready to leave. So that was our demerit on service- this was what tipped the ball into a "4". But the beauty and "newness" and cleanliness of the restaurant will bring us back in the future. We're looking forward to it too. Yes!

Decided to get dinner with old coworkers. Let me get into it. The food was pretty good. I have say the Denver Omelette was pretty good. I did think the tasted a little blan but, overall it was cooked well. The hash browns were perfect! The service was pretty good our waitress really checked in often with us. The atmosphere or ambiance like I call it, really felt very welcoming. It seemed like everyone knew one another. Overall I will say the Rose Garden Cafe is a great place for a wide variety for foods. Check them out!
